    Reigning champion Team Brad Gushue will kick off the 2015 Masters, running Oct. 27 to Nov. 1 in Truro, N.S. The full match schedule for the second event of the 2015-16 Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling season was released this week  and Gushue’s rink is set to face Toronto’s Team John Epping in the opening draw.   The St. John’s Ice Caps get a spit of their home series with Binghamton Senators as they scored three first period goals and then hung on for a 3-2 win. Goaltender Zach Fucale in goal gets the win stopping 38 of 40 shots fired his way. Darren Dietz gave the Ice Caps a 1-nothing lead with the opening goal at 1:37 of the first period.   The Binghamton Senators end the St. John’s Ice Caps home winning streak at two games as they come-from-behind with a goal in overtime to beat the Ice Caps 5-4 before 55 hundred and 15 fans at Mile One Center.
