TWO ICE CAPS ALL-STARS

The American Hockey League announced that St. John’s IceCaps forward Michael McCarron and defenceman Mark Barberio have been selected to play in the 2016 AHL All-Star Classic in Syracuse, NY. McCarron, a first round pick of the Montreal Canadiens in 2013, has played in 31 of 33 games with the IceCaps this season. He leads the team in goals (13), and is second in points (25). The Macomb, Michigan native currently sits fourth in the American Hockey League rookie scoring race. The six-foot-six, 231-pounder was recalled to the Montreal Canadiens in December 2015, where he went scoreless in two games…
