    S U N D A Y  Eddie Pasquale stopped 44 shots but the St. John’s IceCaps fell 2-1 to the Toronto Marlies Sunday. Pasquale faced a steady diet of rubber all game long, including 19 shots in the second and 17 in the third. Bud Holloway scored late for the IceCaps to narrow the deficit to one, but a last minute rally fell just short.   The St. John’s Caps defeated Southern Shore Breakers 5-3 in Avalon East Senior Hockey League semi-final action Monday night. The Caps take a three games to lead in that best of seven series. Mark Rideout collected two goals and an assist in the Caps win. Mike Druken, Matthew Fewer and Colin Escott provided single markers. Jeremy Nicholas netted two Shore goals and Michael Chafe had the single.   Charles Hudon scored on a breakaway 1:45 in over time his 15th goal of the season and the St. John’s Ice Caps come-from-behind to edge Syracuse Crunch 4-3 and sweep the two game series against the Crunch. Victor Bartley and Mark Millian scored in the first period ad both teams scored twice in the opening frame. Syracuse took a 3-2 lead after two periods.
