A Mount Pearl native has been named the Atlantic universities Male Athlete of the week. Gavin Dyke, who is attending Dalhousie University wins the award for his swimming performance . Dyke was named the Swimmer of the Meet at the AUS Men’s Swimming Championship held this past weekend at Dalhousie. He led the Tigers to their 18th consecutive AUS swimming championship title. Dyke collected seven gold medals this weekend including wins in all three freestyle events (50m, 100m & 200m) and the 100m butterfly.
