    S U N D A Y    Mount Pearl Blades downed Celtics 4-1 in the opening game of that St Johns Junior Hockey quater-final series. Daniel Toope scored two goals for the winners with singles added by Brandon Bursey and Stephan Predham. Tyler Bennett replied for the Celtics Trinity Placentia Flyers were 5-3 winners over Southern Shore Breakers. Lyndon Thorne, Conner Stevens, Cass Warren, Matt Hanson and Dakota Warren were the goal scorers for the Flyers. The Maple Leafs advanced to the final as they defeated Central Ice Pak 3-nothing Saturday. They win the best of seven series four games to none.       The St. John’s Maple Leafs have taking a commanding three games to none lead in their Major Midget Hockey League semi-final series with Central Ice Pak. Friday night the Leafs defeated the IcePak 6-2. James Locke and Danny Rice paced the winners offensive attack with two goal Curtis Heffernan and Tyler Planetta added singles.         VS      GAME TWO The St. John’s Caps are now up two games to none in their Avalon East best of seven final series against Northeast Eagles. The Caps jumped into a 3-nothing lead after two periods and go on to a 4-1 victory at the Goulds Arena.     Cam Fergus of the Grand Falls-Windsor Cataracts continues to leads the playoff scoring race in the Central/West Senior Hockey League.   Fergus has played in his team’s four games and has scored six goals and added seven assists for his 13 points.   Ryan Derosiers of the Clarenville Caribous holds down second place in the scoring race just four points behind Fergus.
