HNL GIVES PENDER 6 GAMES

    Hockey Newfoundland and Labrador has ruled on a suspension for Clarenville Caribous forward Justin Pender. HNL has suspended the the Clarenville play for six games.   The suspension was handed out after Pender received a match penalty after an incident in a game between the Cataracts and Caribous January 22nd.   Pender was assessed the match penalty for throwing a water bottle at a referee.  …

  S A T U R D A Y    The St. John’s IceCaps ended their home stand with a 4-0 loss to the Toronto Marlies on Saturday afternoon.   The game was back-and-forth in the first period until the Marlies’ Dmytro Timoshov broke the scoreless tie with 1:16 left in the first frame.     S A T U R D A Y    The Conception Bay CeeBee Stars defeated Southern Shore Brealers 5-3 in Avalon East play Saturday night. The loss by the Shore will see them seeded third for the playoff run.
