    Three games were played in Bally Haly Super League Curling Tuesday night. Toby McDonald and his rink improved to 8-2 on the season with an 8-2 win over Gary Perry. Nei;l Jacobs is now 6-4 as he beat Julia Pitcher 9-6. Pitcher is still winless in ten games. And Bill Jenkins record is now 7-2 thanks to a 7-1 win over Ken Bavis who falls to 2-8.       You have heard of world dart players Michael van Gerwen defeating two-time defending champion Gary Anderson. Well a Newfoundlander has now joined their ranks as a pro player A Newfoundlander has earned his professional card in Europe and is now considered a Professional Dart Player. He is the first Newfoundlander to earn a pro card in darts.  John Norman of Shea Heights is a top 12 point earner and get his pro card. OSMOND CANADIAN LADIES CHAMPION

          With a record score of 219.66, Kaetlyn Osmond has won her third national figure skating title. Osmond, 21, of Marystown held the lead in women’s singles Friday after landing three huge triple jumps, earning 81.01 points going into Saturday’s free program.   Osmond, who now skates out of Alberta, won back-to-back championships in 2013 and 2014, but then was sidelined after breaking a leg in September 2014, forcing her to sit out the rest of the season.
