  Winger Daniel Carr has been sent down to the St John’s Ice Caps just in time for their road trip. Carr has logged 31 contests so far this season in which he managed a pair of goals and six assists while averaging 10:19 of ice time per night.   The Central West Senior Hockey League has agreed to cancel the six remaining games the Gander Flyers were to have played in the regular season. The league in a prepared statement said “due to revenue this season having fallen well below budgeted figures which resulted in a accumulating serious financial situation for the team”, the League, HNL and all teams have agreed that the remaining three weekends of scheduled games will not be played.     ROD SNOW  Two Newfoundlanders will be among the first seven inductees into the 2017 Canadian Rugby Hall of Fame class. Rod Snow and Mike Luke will be the two Newfoundlanders to be inducted into the hall.
