CARPENTER LEADS MARCO TO METRO BASKETBALL WIN

Three Metro Basketball games were played Thursday night. Fougere Menchenton defeated  Chislett Whitten Law 59-39 Wayne Button led the winners with 17 points and Andrew Crocker and Jay Cunningham added 16 each. Paul Morgan had a 17 point performance for the losers. In the second game Marie’s Mini Mart  over Dr. Leslie Moss Professional Medical 70- 43 Jeremy McCarthy  was top scorer for the winners with 18 points with    Brad Hawco contributing 14 Mike Pope and John Madden had 14 points each for the losers.    S A T U R D A Y Memorial Sea Hawks finish their pre season exhibition losing 77-60 to Ottawa. They finish with a 2-1 record. The Canadian Ball Hockey Association has announced the roster of Men’s Team Canada along with the Team Staff for the 2019 ISBHF World Championship in Kosice, Slovakia.   S A T U R D A Y The Florida Everblades got a split with the Newfoundland Growlers Saturday night as they picked up a 3-2 win.
