CITY OF ST JOHNS MAY SELL MILE ONE

  The City of St. John’s seems very interested in selling Mile One and it looks like a buyer is ready to purchase. St. John’s Mayor Danny Breen confirmed after Tuesday night’s council meeting that the city is having serious talks about  selling the facility that opened in 2001.  It appears the owner of the Newfoundland Growlers hockey franchise and the owner of the St. John’s Edge Basketball team are interested in purchasing Mile One. Its reported that the city could save close to two million dollars annually if they sell the facility.  …

ST JOHNS EDGE MAKE TWO MOVES

    The St. John’s Edge have made a couple of moved for the upcoming season. First they have signed Texas native Nick Banyard for the upcoming season.season.   Banyard, 6-foot-8, 225 pounds is a product of the University of Central Florida in NCAA Division 1. He made his pro debut in 2017-18 with Rayos de Hermosillo of the Mexican CIBACOPA league. In 9 games, he averaged 12.89 points, 6.78 rebounds, and 1.11 assists.
