  The Newfoundland Growlers scored three straight goals to beat the Reading Royals  3-1 Wednesday evening at the Santander Arena.   Both teams played an even up-tempo first period that ended in a scoreless 20 minutes of action but the second period registered a flurry of excitement. Reading Royals forward Frank DiChaiara opened up the scoring on a powerplay opportunity when a loose puck made its way to his stick and he snapped it between the legs of Growlers goaltender Michael Garteig.   The East Coast Senior Hockey held its draft on Tuesday night. The CBR Blues picked Cody Batten first overall. The Northeast Eagles chose Doug Pippy.
