  The St. John’s senior men’s fast pitch softball league has named its award winners for 2018 season. Jason Hill of the 3 Cheers Pub Bud Light Dodgers is the most valuable player. He played in 19 games and had a batting average of 434 from 23 hits in 53 plate appearances. The playoff MVP award went to Colin Walsh of the 3 Cheers Pub BudLight champions, Walsh had a 5-0 record pitching in the playoffs and had 49 strikeouts. The St. John’s Intermediate Fastpitch softball league has handed out it’s year end awards. The 2018 Most Valuable Player Award went to Pitcher Eric Healey of CBC Junior Canadians.     The Toronto Marathon was held Sunday with over 5 thousand runners. Kiley Dominie of Paradise was the top Newfoundland and Labradorian finishing 219 in a time of 3:06.45.
