It’s Herder time for Newfoundland hockey

DEER LAKE, NL – Newfoundland’s legendary Herder Memorial Trophy is on the line again for 2025 as the Newfoundland senior hockey season comes to an end. The finals will see the Deer Lake Red Wings of the Central West Senior Hockey League (CWSHL) in their third consecutive Herder final face the Clarenville Ford Caribous, who represent the Avalon East Senior Hockey League (AESHL) . This provincial championship trophy was first awarded in 1935.
