Game on Gear has evened their St. John’s Intermediate Softball quarter-final series with Bay Roberts Coors Light at a game apiece. Game on Gear came away with a 5-4 extra inning victory on Friday night. Here is how the winning run was scored. Shane Dobbin was placed on second base to start the inning (ISF Tie-Breaker), Shane Dobbin stole third base and Ryan King hit a SAC Fly to left-field to score Dobbin with the game-winning run.   Dobbin was the winning pitcher. Aces have advanced to the finals of the Corner Brook senior baseball setup. The Aces scored six runs in the sixth inning and go on to a 7-1 win over Marlins and take the best of five series in straight games.   They now await the winner of the Monarchs Hawks series which the Monarchs lead two games to one.   Hawks remained alive in their Corner Brook senior baseball semi-final baseball series. The Hawks came from behind to get a 5-4 win in 11 innings.  Monarchs still lead the best of five series two games to one. Colin Wood in relief of starter Mike Colbourne gets the win.  Mike Tavenor is the losing pitcher.       Feildians defeated  Roebothan McKay and Marshall Gonzaga Vikings  5-4 in St. John’s senior baseball play Thursday night. Jon Walsh who came on in relief of starter Brad Roche gets the win.     NTV Hitmen beat the Bigs 9-1 in a St Johns senior men’s fast pitch semi-final game Thursday night .  That best of five series is now tied at a game apiece. Brad Ezekiel went three for three for the winners with a three run homer. Teammate Danny Mullins clocked a two run shot and Ryan Boland a solo blast.
