      LaFontaine Club Bud Light defeated Bay Roberts Coors Light 4-1 in the opening game of the best of five St. John’s Intermediate Softball final series on Thursday night. Lee Cose started and gets the win. He gave up one run in the six innings he pitched allowing four hits and fanning seven. Johnny O’Rielly finishd up.   The St Johns Ice Caps lost to the Toronto Marlies 3-2 in Stephenville Thursday night. It was the first pre season game for the IceCaps. They move on to Corner Brook. Jeremy Gregoire and Morgan Ellis each had a goal, with Joel Hanley and Nikita Scherbak picking up assists. Goaltenders Eddie Pasquale and Zachary Fucale split the game almost 50/50, with Pasquale clocking 30:13 in net, and Fucale minding the remaining 29:47.…

VIKINGS TAKE GAME ONE

      Roebothan, McKay and Marshall Gonzaga Vikings won the opening game of the best of seven St. John’s Senior baseball final series with an 8-4 decision over Shamrocks Thursday night at St. Pat’s Ball Park.
