        Hawks are the 2016 Corner Brook senior baseball champions. Matt Colbourne threw a perfect game in the five innings the game went as the Hawks blanked the Monarchs 11-0 to win the bests of seven series for games to two. Colbourne face 15 batters and struck out 11 of them. Mike Simms and Ryan Price had three hits each for the winners in this game as the Hawks unleashed a 15 hit attack.   The Galway Hitmen made national softball history on a chilly Sunday evening in St. John’s, NL, defeating Newfoundland’s Kelly’s Pub Molson Bulldogs 3-0 to claim a record fifth-straight Canadian men’s fastpitch championship.   The final was a repeat of the 2014 gold medal game in Charlottetown, P.E.I. and   for much of the gold medal game, it looked as though it would be a repeat of the team’s elimination round meeting, an 11-inning affair that ended in a 1-0 Hitmen victory courtesy a walk-off RBI-single. Shamrocks 6 and Feildians 5 The Feildians blew a one  run lead going into the bottom of the 7th. The shamrocks completed the comeback on a bases loaded single by Andrew Symonds. The Feildians had intentionally walked Scott Stockley the batter before to try their luck with Symonds. Ryan Dooley (2 IP, 2H, 0R, 0BB, 3K and 1HBP) came in for the save and gets the win.
