Heather Healey of Paradise has once again been named to Canada’s National Women’s Baseball team. Canada will be at the Women’s Baseball World Cup in Gijang City Korea September 3rd to 11th. Grand Falls Windsor won the Provincial Girls under 14 baseball championship this weekend. They defeated St. John’s 8-1 in the championship game. The Most Valuable player in this tournament was Katie Penney of Grand Falls Windsor. St. John’s won the Boy’s Midget AA title with a 7-nothing win over Corner Brook.
