  John Madden scored 26 points and that helped Team Kielley defeat ACW Law 65-57 in Metro Basketball action Thursday night. Teammate Emanual Kolowade added 17 Colin McNeil of the ACW Law team was the games top scorer scoring a season high 31 points. Leon peddle added 11. Mike Fudge scored 12 points as M5 get by Swilers 48-44. Mark Squires contributed 10 points for the Swilers.   The Grand Falls Windsor Cataracts have lost another member of last years team. Forward Cam Fergus has signed with the Stoney Creek Generals who play in Manitoba for the coming season. Fergus who is from Brantford Ontario had 13 goals and 24 assists for 37 points last season with the Cataracts. He had nine goals and 18 assists in ten playoff games last year.…

    Jason Guy was the first to finish the Cape to Cabot race Sunday. He finished in a time of 1 hour 17 minutes and 36 seconds. Peter Bazeley placed second in 1 hour and 19 minutes and 11 seconds. The third male finisher was Jordan Veenstra in 1 hour 21 minutes and 40 seconds.       Kate Bazeley was the first female finisher and third overall . Her time was 1 hour 21 minutes and 34 seconds.     S U N D A Y    Trinity Placentia Flyers stopped the St. John;s Caps 4-1 Sunday in Junior action. Dakota Warren, Jordan Mercer, Matt Hanson and Cornal McNamara scored for the winners. Kyle Rumsey replied for the Caps.   In a second game Mount Pearl defeated Northeast Eagles 5-3. Grant Thompson tallied twice for the winners with singles from Andrew McIntoish, Michael Broaders and Daniel Toope.
