      The Central West Senior Hockey League also sees a tie for the scoring race early in their season. Stewart McCrae of Clarenville and Collin Circelli of the Cataracts both have 11 points.     S A T U R D A Y  In the Avalon East Hockey League on Saturday night. North East Eagles scored four goals in the first period and go on to trounce Bell Island Blues 9-3. Matt Squires scored three goals for the Eagles with Andrew Temple, Chris Ryan, Liam Myers, Chris Sparkes, Chris Thorne and Chrtis Blackwood with singles. ACW Law handed M5 just their fourth loss of the season in Metro Basketball play as they beat M5 51-39. Leon Peddle the big man in this game with 20 points for the winners. Paul Morgan added 14. Mike Fudge had 16 points for the losers. Sundance improved to 10-5 as they handed Fougere Menchenton their 13th loss of the season with a 45-37 victory. Don Hurley was top scorer for the losers with ten. And Bruce Helms hooped 19 points as Swilers defeated Team Kielly 49-32. Both teams now 8-7 on the season.…

    The Southern Shore Breakers extended their undefeated streak to three straight games with a 2-1 win over St John’s Caps on Monday night at the Mobile Arena.
