Gushue defeats Shuster’s Team USA

  In a battle of the Olympic champions, Brad Gushue of team Canada, the 2006 Olympic gold medallist, defeated the  defending Olympic John Shuster of Team USA 10-5 to end a two-game losing streak and improve his record to 3-2 at the Beijing 2022 Olympics. Gushue took two in the ninth and it was fist bumps. Gushue took a 7-1 advantage into the break with all team members throwing 93 per cent during the first half. You may know him as his alter ego, Buddy The Puffin, the 7 foot tall long time sports mascot in St John’s.
