Bronze for Team Gushue at 2022 Olympics

BEIJING – It’s a bronze medal for Team Gushue and Canada in Olympic curling.  Gushue defeated  the defending Olympic champion, John Shuster, and Team USA 8-5 in the 10th end to earn his second Olympic medal. “That was the toughest game I think I’ve ever played. ST JOHN’S, NL – Nathan Young’s team defeated Team Greg Smith to win the Newfoundland and Labrador Tankard and become the provincial champions on Sunday afternoon at the ReMax Centre in St John’s. Final score was 8-4 after 9 ends. The two teams were very evenly matched as the only loss Smith had all week was to Young.   In a battle of the Olympic champions, Brad Gushue of team Canada, the 2006 Olympic gold medallist, defeated the  defending Olympic John Shuster of Team USA 10-5 to end a two-game losing streak and improve his record to 3-2 at the Beijing 2022 Olympics.
