  It was a rough weekend for Memorial men’s and women’s basketball teams and womens volleyball team The women’s basketball team lost twice to UPEI 79-75 and 62-60.   The West Coast Senior Hockey League is now down to three teams this season. The defending champions Deer Lake Red Wings won’t be returning.  The Red Wings made the following statement today “The Deer Lake Red Wings are sad to announce that we will not be taking part in the upcoming 2018/2019 season. Nick Gosse scored twice and CBR defeated Roebothan McKay and Marshall Avalon Capitals 6-3.  Southern Shore Breakers downed St Johns Caps 6-4.         F R I D A Y   The Mt.         The St. John’s Edge unveiled the uniforms they will wear for the 2018-19 season at Holy Heart of Mary High School on Friday evening. The team unveiled both a white (home) and blue (away) uniform.   S A T U R D A Y Game Story The Newfoundland Growlers earned their first back-to-back wins in franchise history Saturday night with a 5-3 decision over the Worcester Railers.
