  S A T U R D A Y Three second period goals was all CB Renegades needed as they doubles CBN Stars 4-2 Saturday night. Steve Predham, Nick Gosse, Tyler Wall and Blake Fudge scored for the winners. Steven Moore and Kyle Tetford replied for the Stars.  And a game that went into overtime Southern Shore edged Northeast Eagles 7-6 Donovan Warren led the winners with two goals. Shane Kavanagh, Blake Dalton, Chandler Warren, Noah Dinn and Brendan Houlihan added singles.  Kyle Rumsey, Kyle Champion, James Locke, Stephen Kennedy, Ben Roberts and Max French replied for the Eagles.   …

WEST COAST SR HOCKEY GAMES POSTPONED

  This is the last weekend of the West Coast Senior Hockey League regular season. Friday night the Corner Brook Royals game against Stephenville Jets was postponed because of poor road conditions on the west coast. Saturday the Jets against the Port aux Basques Mariners also postponed. The Royals are in first place with 15 points and Port aux Basques second with 14 and Stephenville have five.…

PARADISE TO HOST WORLD SPORTS EVENT

  Great news for the town of Paradise Canada’s National Para Hockey Team is headed to Paradise in  December to welcome the world to the 2019 Canadian Tire Para Hockey Cup. The event, which was re-branded from the World Sledge Hockey Challenge in 2018, will feature the world’s top para hockey teams vying for gold at the Paradise Double Ice Complex. The tournament will be a homecoming for Paralympic silver medallist Liam Hickey, who got his start in the game with the Avalon Sled Dogs. EDGE LOSE BY 34 TO HALIFAX

  The Halifax Hurricanes blasted the St. John’s Edge 104-70 before 3677 fans at Mile one Tuesday night. The Edge trailed 60-32 at the half and never were even close in this game. Edge now 12-8 on the season and Halifax are 12-11 Junior Cadougan had 18 points for the Edge and Glen Davis added 14. Teams meet again Thursday at Mile One.…
