Memorial won Sunday 70-50 as Sydney Stewart had 20 points.   The Men’s team split with ST F X as they fell Sunday 88-81.   The Edge have released one player and signed another as they head down the stretch in the basketball season. The Edge released Ted Kapita. He played in just two games this season. The Edge then announced they have signed Toronto native Olaseyi Ashaolu to a contract. He is six six and weighs 220 lbs and has played three seasons at Louisiana Tech. He moved to play in the Spanish LEB Gold League where he averaged 28 points per game. He has also played nine years with Canada’s National team.…

CAPS BEAT EAGLES IN A SHOOTOUT

It doesn’t get much better than this when it comes to hockey. The East Coast Senior Hockey League game between St. John’s Caps and Northeast Eagles was decided by a shootout. The teams were tied at three all when the deciding factor would be the shootout. It was Dylan Brake’s shootout goal that gave the Caps a 4-3 win in this contest.
