BATTLE FOR HERDER STARTS SATURDAY

  The Herder Memorial Trophy final will begin Saturday night at the Jack Byrne Arena.   The Southern Shore Breakers and Grand Falls Windsor Cataracts will meet in the best of seven final.   This will be the 82nd year teams will compete.   In 1957 the Grand Falls Ancos were awarded the Herder as no teams entered to compete against them. And in 1991 No competition was held.   The Clarenville Caribous who lost to Southern Shore Breakers won the Herder last year.…

    A win and a loss for the Edge this weekend and they are headed as well to postseason.   Sunday the Edge came away with a 121-116 win Sunday as Murphy Burnatowski scored 34 points and Shaquille Kent backed him with 20.   Saturday the Storm came away with a 128-103 win.
