FEWER WINS FIRST ROAD RACE OF SEASON

  The first road race of the 2019 season was held Sunday.   Colin Fewer was first in the Boston Pizza Flatout 5K event with a winning time of 15 minutes and 25 seconds, Grant Handrigan was second in 16 minutes and 12 seconds and Jacopo Fragasco was third in 17:07   Jennifer Barron was the first female finisher with a winning time of 17 minutes and 58 seconds. Krissy Dooling was second in 19 minutes and 28 seconds and Sarah Molloy third in 19:49. 238 runners completed the course.…

CATARACTS 2019 HERDER CHAMPIONS

  S U N D A Y The Grand Falls Windsor Cataracts are the 2019 Herder Memorial Trophy Champions. Alex Dalley scored in overtime Sunday to give the Cats a 3-2 win over Southern Shore Breakers. They won the best of seven series four games to one. It’s the Grand Falls 15th Herder since competition started in 1935. Michael Brent and Pat Yetman scored the other Cats goals. ST JOHNS MASTERS SOFTBALL REGISTRATION

  Registration for the upcoming  St John’s Masters Softball season will be held Saturday and Sunday, April 13th and 14th and Saturday and Sunday, April 27th and 28th. Registration is from 2 to 4 pm each of these days at the Chalet at Bill Rahal Field. Registration fee is $150. Anyone not registered by the close of registration on April 28th will be placed on the waiting/spare list.
