First of all all teams in the six team league came to an agreement that the CBN CeeBee Stars would be welcomed back into the league. That now clears the way for the season to start albeit it about three weeks later than planned. The St. John’s Edge Basketball team for the upcoming season continues to take shape. Elijan Macon a six foot nine forward from Columbus, Ohio has signed with the Edge for the 2019-2020 season. He has played in Bosnia, Hungary and Chile. He played for four seasons at West Virginia University. He led the Mountaineers to three NCAA tournaments and two sweet 16’s. The Edge now have ten players under contract for the season. However there is still no word on Carl English and whether he will play or even be with the team this season. The impasse with regards to allowing the Conception Bay CeeBees into the East Coast senior hockey league continues. The five teams in the league last year and the CeeBees met Sunday for several hours but no resolution has been found.
