GUSHUE WINS 5TH GS TITLE

  Brad Gushue won the Elite 10 title on a draw-to-the-button shootout Sunday to earn his fifth career Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling title. The team of Gushue, third Mark Nichols, second Brett Gallant and lead Geoff Walker have had an incredible run in the Pinty’s event. In the final game Gushue’s team curled 77 per cent. Gushue himself curled just 70 percent. Lead Geoff Walker was the top performer per centage wise as he curled 88 per cent. Next up is the Players Championship set for Toronto April 12th to `17th.…

  FRIDAY Brad Gushue and his Newfoundland and Labrador Curling team are in the final of the 2016 Brier, the Canadian Men’s Curling championship.   The Gushue rink avenged a loss earlier in the day to Northern Ontario  to win the Page Playoff game 7-6 and earn a berth in the final.   It was a seesaw battle throughout the contest.
