ST JOHN’S, NL – Repeat wins for the returning Mens and Womans champions at the 2025 Royal St John’s Regatta today at Quidi Vidi Lake. Both Capital Home Hardware and Volkswagen won the Men’s and Woman’s Championship races respectively again this year defending their title. In the Mens race official course time was 9:55.24 .  Twenty-two secons ahead of the number boat East Coast Kia. Caps win 2025 Senior Baseball championship

ST JOHN’S, NL – The St John’s Capitols walked away with the BaseBall NL Newfoundland and Labrador Senior Men’s Baseball Championship today at St Pat’s ball park in St John’s. The lopsided win over the Mount Pearl Blazers saw the Blazers put one run on the board in the first inning but the Cap’s posted three and it was all the Cap’s game after that. By Jason Pike.  Year after year, it becomes increasingly obvious that provincial teams representing Newfoundland and Labrador—particularly under the Newfoundland and Labrador Soccer Association (NLSA)—are not putting forward the best possible product. And perhaps they never will, at least not under the current system. Because let’s be honest: the teams selected to represent our province in soccer don’t truly represent the province at all.
