ST JOHN’S, NL – Repeat wins for the returning Mens and Womans champions at the 2025 Royal St John’s Regatta today at Quidi Vidi Lake. Both Capital Home Hardware and Volkswagen won the Men’s and Woman’s Championship races respectively again this year defending their title.

In the Mens race official course time was 9:55.24 .  Twenty-two secons ahead of the number boat East Coast Kia.

The record time for the 2.45km course is 8:51.32 set by Crosbie Industrail in 2007.

Volkswagen St. John’s won the woman’s championship raace with a time of 5:16.41, beating second-place team, Smith Stockley, by over eight seconds. 

The woman’s course is 1.115km long with a course record of 4:56.10 set by M5 Grou in 2018.

This is the  207th Royal St. John’s Regatta and it is billed as the oldest continuous sporting event of North America’s
