The Newfoundland and Labrador Rugby Union’s submission to Public Health Newfoundland and Labrador regarding the resumption of contact rugby has been approved. The NLRU announced that contact rugby is now sanctioned in the province. This is an important step in our return to play plan, and there are numerous safeguards in place to ensure our players, coaches and referees’ safety and well being. Commencing next week, our clubs will undergo two weeks of contact conditioning in their practices.
