  Newfoundland represented by Galway Hitmen claimed this provinces  fourth consecutive Canadian Men’s Fast Pitch Softball Championship by defeating Nova Scotia East Hants 4-3 in the championship game. 3Cheers Pub had won the last three titles. The Newfoundland team trailed in this game 1-nothing after four innings but rallied with a pair of runs in the fifth and sixth innings to claim the championship.   David Freak won the provincial 5K road race Sunday. He covered the course in 15 minutes and 44 second. Adam Snow placed second with a time of 16 minutes and 23 seconds. Third place went to Daniel MacDonald who finished in 16 minutes and 39 seconds. Julia Kawamoto was the first female across the finish line with a winning time of 17 minutes and seven seconds. Second place went to Anne Johnston in 17 minutes and 27 seconds and Krissy Dooling was third and her time was 19 minutes and one second. 133 runners finished the race.…
