      MONDAY     St. John’s Caps defeated Southern Shore Breakers 9-5 in action Monday as they grabbed a 2-nothing first period lead and held a commanding 6-2 lead after 40 minutes of play. The Caps move into a first place tie with the Northeast Eagles. Lucas Deering  was the offensive leader with two goals.   The Gander Flyers in the Central West Senior Hockey League have signed three players. Mitch Oake who played with Clarenville was obtained in a trade with the Caribous. The Flyers also have signed defenseman Nick Theriault  He has played with the Cataracts and CeeBee Stars And the Flyers also have signed former St Johns Fog Devils forward Wes Welcher.
