  It was a rare event in Metro Basketball but the highest scoring game of the season was played Thursday night. Mark Dawson went on a scoring spree netting 33 points and leading M5 to a 74-57 win over Fougere Menchenton. Darryl Kenny had 16 points for the losers. ACW Law defeated George Street Beer Market 50-38 with a 14 point performance from John McEvoy. Brad Drover scored 15 points for George Street Beer Market. And John Madden hooped 22 points and Swilers were 52-47 winners over Atlantic Woodworking . Darryl Budgell scored 13 points for Atlantic Woodworking.    …

  The team of Erin Porter and Cory Schuh claimed the 2016 provincial mixed doubles curling championship Monday at Bally Haly Curling Club. Porter/Schuh defeated Greg Smith and Heidi Trickett 10-7 in the final game.
