The start of the St. John’s Amateur Baseball Association season is set for Friday June 3rd. There will be something new at the park this year and its a new scoreboard. The scoreboard was purchased for the nationals in 2014 but there were a few minor problems that had to be fixed. The scoreboard now is up and ready at the Ball Park.…
The Atlantic Rock defeated the Ontario Blues 22 to 12 in the first of an eight round-robin series for the MacTier Cup and the Senior Men’s Canadian Rugby Championships on Saturday at Burlington’s Sherwood Forest Park. Patrick McNicholas of the Rock led the scoring with a 25 metre penalty kick four minutes into the match. McNicholas scored a try and two conversions to lead the pack with 12 points.
