      They won it for Kenny. That sums up how and who they won the St. John’s Junior Hockey League championship. They they are the Southern Shore Junior Breakers. HNL SAYS HERDER RESULT STANDS

        Hockey NL President, Jack Lee, says it’s unfortunate that, what was a great Herder Memorial Championship Series, has ended with controversy.   “We work real hard to ensure we have quality officiating for this level of hockey and we assign our top officials to games of this magnitude, however, they have to make judgments in real-time based on what they see” said Lee.     Hockey NL, not unlike both provincial senior leagues and most all amateur hockey in the country, has no video review technology or goal judges to assist on disputed goals.  Don Kelly, Referee…

    The Southern Shore Breakers are one win away from their first St. John’s Junior Hockey League championship. The Shore grabbed a 3-1 lea in the best iof seven series downing Roebothan McKay and Marshall Avalon Capitals 5-2 on Wednesday night. Liam Hynes led the Breakers with two goals Donovan Warren, Shayne Kavanagh and Matthew Templeman were the other Breaker marksmen. Ben Cleary and Andrew Paul were the Capitals goal scorers. CEEBEE STARS HERDER CHAMPIONS 2017

    S U N D A Y        The Conception Bay CeeBee Stars are the 2017 Herder Memorial champions. Kenny Kings second goal of the game at 15:59  of the third and that  gave the CeeBee Stars a 4-3 victory in game five of the final. Daniel Sparkes and Lucas Goobie had the other goals. Ryan Delaney, Justin Pender and Ryan Derosiers had the Clarenville goals in this game.
