    Its a night in his St. John’s senior baseball career that pitcher Dan Connors won’t soon forget. Connors, pitching for Roebothan, McKay and Marshall Gonzaga Vikings pitched a no hitter as the Vikings blanked the defending champions Shamrocks 2-nothing in the curtain riser for the baseball leagues 70th season.     The St. John’s Junior Hockey League has its executive in place for the 2017-18 season. George Bursell is the president, Jim Haire takes over as vice president. Cathy Doyle is the secretary. Bern Tobin is the treasurer.  Gerry Taylor is director of statistics, Stephen Clarke the director for minor officials. Wayne Carter is director at large.
