    Its a night in his St. John’s senior baseball career that pitcher Dan Connors won’t soon forget. Connors, pitching for Roebothan, McKay and Marshall Gonzaga Vikings pitched a no hitter as the Vikings blanked the defending champions Shamrocks 2-nothing in the curtain riser for the baseball leagues 70th season. Scott Goosney took the loss allowing just five hits over the seven innings. The Vikings scored single runs in the forth and sixth innings.…

  Ryan Boland (Goulds), Shane Boland (Goulds), Sean Cleary (Harbour Main), Brad Ezekiel (Harbour Main), Kyle Ezekiel (Holyrood), Jason Hill (St. John’s), Stephen Mullaley (Freshwater) and Colin Walsh (Petty Harbour) are among 22 athletes from across Canada that are attending the Men’s National Team Selection Camp in Kitchener, Ontario from June 8-11, 2017. The athletes are all members of the Men’s National Team Athlete Pool.
