ST. JOHN’S – BASEBALL NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR has announced it final lineup for the 2022 Canada Games. It includes young baseball star 15 year old Jaida Lee who won both the top batter and top pitcher at the 2021 Atlantic girls’ under-16 baseball championship in Summerside, P.E.I., in August where NL won the Atlantic championships. Conception Bay South – The U11 AA Raiders baseball team in CBS had a great summer winning the 11UAA provincial championships. This team was the only team to win a provincial tournament besides St.John’s winning every other level at AAA/AA provincial from 11U to 15U. Last night they won the tier 2 Metro League with a win over the 11UAA Paradise Phantoms. They had 3 of our 2nd year players that will move on to 13U next summer pitch a combined no hitter. St John’s – The third and final race in the Volkswagon St John’s Enduro Series  mountain bike racing went this weekend in the White Hills above Quidi Vidi in St John’s. Mens Expert series winner was Lachlan Roe-Bose. Mark Glynn won the Mens Sport division. Julie Halliday was first in Womans Division.
