MCNEIL LEADS BASKETBALL WIN

    Colin  McNeil scored 26 points leading Chislett Whitten Law to a 50-42 win over Marie’s Mini Mart in Metro Basketball play Tuesday. Don Hurley and MIke Fudge ad 14 points each for the losers.   Marco Construction beat Dr Leslie Moss Professional Medical Corporation 62-51. Brad Drover had 21 points for the winners and Mark Squires 16 for the losers.     And M5 get by Fougere Menchenton 50-48. Jeremy McCarthy and Steve Torraville had 16 points each for the winners. MEMORIAL ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

  Memorial University has named it’s athletes of the week and both are from the Memorial Swimming team.   Ryan George is the Memorial male athlete of the week after winning three events at the Dalhousie Invitational.  George secured first place finishes in the 50M, 100M, and 200M Backstroke and helped his team finish third overall in the team standings   Jasmine Foran is the Memorial female athlete of the week following multiple strong performances at the Dalhousie Invitational.  Foran had first place finishes in the 200M Individual Medley, the 50M Breaststroke, the 100M Breaststroke.…
