  Clarenville Caribous struck for four second period goals and held on to defeat Northeast Eagles 6-4 in a senior hockey interlocking contest on Friday. S A T U R D A Y   The Newfoundland Growlers extended their winning streak to eight games Saturday with a 5-2 decision over the Reading Royals. Just 1:25 into the first period Hudson Elynuik scored his first pro goal to give the Growlers a 1-0 lead. Sydney Ezekiel is the Memorial female athlete of the week. This past week she averaged 17.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 2.5 steals in the Sea-Hawks weekend sweep of the Saint Mary’s Huskies.
