CBC JR CANADIANS INTERMEDIATE SOFTBALL CHAMPS

    S U N D A Y    CBC Junior Canadians are the 2019 Provincial Intermediate softball champions. CBC defeated LaFontaine Club 2-nothing in the championship game.  Eric Healey pitches the win on a one hitter and he struckout 15.Healey was also named the tournaments most valuable player. He pitched three wins in the tournament and did not suffer a loss. CAPS JR BASEBALL CHAMPIONS

      The St. John’s Caps defeated the Corner Brook Barons 4-3 to win the provincial  junior baseball championship Sunday. Graham King gets the win. He pitched five and two thirds innings and allowed three runs on six hits, he walked two and fanned six.  Nick Evans came in relief and pitch an inning and a third and had a walk and strikeout. Andrew Flood takes the loss., He allowed four runs on seven hits walked and fanned one.  Tournament award winners  Stephen Crooks of Mount Pearl was the top batter with an .800 batting average in the tournament.…
