HOLY CROSS DEFEAT ST. LAWRENCE IN CHALLENGE CUP PLAY

  Holy Cross defeated their arch rivals St. Lawrence Laurentians 3-nothing in Challenge Cup Soccer play Saturday.  Sean Henderson connected at the 39 minute mark with Tyler Kirby making it 2-nothing 52 minutes in and Owen Sheppard put the icing on the game with a goal at the 90 minute mark. Sam Hawco had the shutout. In another game C-B-S came away with a 2-0 nothing victory over Feildians. NEW CLUBHOUSE FOR JUBILEE FIELD

    It’s been a long time coming and it’s worth the wait.   The Corner Brook Baseball Association will finally get a new clubhouse.    Funding to the rune of 1.83 million dollars has been approved for the nerwe club house. This project will be cost shared between all levels of government, federal, provincial and municipal.    The old clubhouse was build back in the 1950’s and is outdated and in need of massive repairs.    …
