The Royal St. John’s Regatta Committee will induct one crew and two individuals into it’s hall of fame today. The 1985 Outer Cove Intermediate Crew which at that time set a new course record of 9:30.65. That record was broken in 2001 by the Crosbie Industrial Services crew who rowed the course in 8:51.32 The two individuals to be enshrined are Frank Dinn who served on the committee for 40 years and Graham Roache who was a rower and coxswain for some 20 years. …
Veteran runner Colin Fewer won the 2019 Tely Ten his third straight and his 11th of his career Sunday. Fewer crossed the finish line at Bannerman Road in 49 minutes and 51 seconds which was ten seconds slower than his win in 2018 and his second fastest time in this event.
