GROWLERS COME FROM BEHIND AGAIN TO WIN 19TH

  Marcus Powers second goal of the game at 6:23 of the third proved to be the winner and the Growlers again come-from-behind and beat Adirondack Thunder 5-3 Wednesday night at Mile One.  Justin Brazeau, Scott Pooley and Mac Hollowell into an empty net accounted for the Growlers scoring.  Growlers improve now to 19-10 on the season.  The Growlers now take  a break and return to action at home at Mile One on December 30th to face Worcester.  Period Scores 1 2 3 FINAL 2 0 1 3 0 2 3 5    …

EDGE LOSE PRE SEASON GAME AGAINST MONCTON

    The St. John’s Edge lost their pre season exhibition game against the Moncton Magic. The Magic came away with a 104-86 win over the Edge.  Jesse Jones led the Edge scoring with 16 points and Montay Brandon added 13. The Edge will start their season on December 27th on the road against the Magic.  The Edge season home opener is set for January 7th at Mile One. …

F R I D A Y Deer Lake Red Wings improved to 3-0 in West Coast Senior Hockey League play Friday night beating the Corner Brook Royals 7-3 at the Hodder in Deer Lake. S A T U R D A Y The Growlers finish up their road trip with a 3-2 loss to Utah Saturday night. Joseph Duszak had both of the Growler goals. They now head home to play Adirondack on Tuesday night which is Buddy the Puffin Night at Mile One.
