JUNIOR HOCKEY PLAYOFFS UNDERWAY

Trinity Placentia Flyers have evened their best of three junior hockey quarter finals with Southern Shore Breakers with a 7-4 win Sunday.

William Hickey led the winners with two goals. Justin Edison,Jordan Pomeroy, Tyler Whittle, Liam Shea and Andrew Parsons had the other goals.

Kieran O’Driscoll tallied twice for the Shore. A J Doyle and Brendan Houlihan had the other goals.

S A T U R D A Y

The CBR Renegades took advantage of home ice to win their opening game of the nest of three quarter finals with a 7-0 win over Roebothan McKay and Marshall Avalon Capitals. Tyler Nickson and Tyler Hennessey both had two goals each for CBR.

Single markers were added by Stephen Predham, Nick David,and Drew Stonehouse.

Jordan Blackwood stopped all shots fired his way for the shutout.

It was a very chippy affair with Referees Mike Shea and Tyler Heffernan calling a total of twenty penalties which included two triple game misconducts one to each team. Next game in the series is at CBR on Wednesday night at 8.00pm .

F R I D A Y

C-B-N opened with a 9-2 trouncing of the Northeast Eagles. Mark Barrett led the winners with three two goals. David Hibbs, Ryan Williams, Jason Churchill, Kyle Tetford, Cass Wiseman, Ryan Dawson and Cameron Simms had singles. Ben Roberts and Stephen Kennedy replied for the Eagles.

Roland Power scored four straight goals and Southern Shore Breakers skated to a 7-2 win over Trinity Placentia Flyers. Shayne Kavanagh, Donovan Warren and Kieran O’ Driscoll had the other goals. William Hickey and Tyler Power replied for the Flyers.

The quarter finals resume Saturday with the opening game of the series between CBR and Roebothan McKay and Marshall Avalon Capitals at the Stadium in CBS.
