BOTH MEMORIAL TEAMS LOSE SATURDAY

Memorial women’s team lost to Dalhousie 66-64 on Saturday. Sydney Ezekiel had 19 points for MUN and Sydney Stewart 14.  Memorial finished 5th in the standings and are in the playoffs. They will play Dalhousie in the quarter finals next weekend.

In Mens play Memorial lost 79-61 to Dal . Nathan Barker with 23 Memorial points. Memorial men;s team also in the playoffs as they finished in a tie for sixth with UPEI and and Acadia. Based on a formula the Sea hawks are in the playoffs and face Dalhousie as well.

M E A N W H I L E

Nathan Barker finished second in the league scoring in  a very tight race. Barker finished the season averaging 21.4 points per game.

Osman Omar of Cape Breton won the scoring as he averaged 24.9 points per game.

F R I D A Y

Sydney Stewart scored 23 points and Memorial defeated Dalhousie 87-76 in AUS women’s basketball play Friday. Sydney Ezekiel added 17 points for Memorial. Same teams meet Saturday at the Field House. Memorial gained four points from this game.

In Men’s play the Sea Hawks lost 87-75 to Dalhousie. Jason Thompson had 17 points for Memorial
