SOCCER NL NAMES 2017 AWARD WINNERS

The Newfoundland and Labrador Soccer Association celebrated the best of 2017 Friday night, handing out team and individual awards, and inducting six new members into the NL Soccer Hall of Fame.  The class of 2017 includes Rob Antle, Laura Breen, Rod Drake, Alec Noseworthy, Craig Edwards and Colin Edwards

 

Jessie Noseworthy and Alex Pretty took home awards for senior female and male, while Jacob Grant and Sydney Walsh were honoured on the junior side. Holy Cross Avalon Ford was recognized as Team of the Year, after winning the province’s first ever medal at the Jubilee Trophy national championships in October, where they took home the bronze.

  • ·         Volunteer of the Year (Doug Redmond award) – Don Coombs, Conception Bay North Soccer Association
  • ·         Referee of the Year (Ross Arlett award) – Dave Pitman
