SENIOR HOCKEY IN PROVINCE STILL UP IN THE AIR

Hockey Canada  has not handed down it’s ruling as to whether the East Coast Senior Hockey League can operate a league this season.

The league has appealed a Hockey Newfoundland and Labrador decision not to allow the league to be sanctioned because they refuse the entry of the Conception Bay CeeBee Stars into the league. The Sportspage has learned that Hockey Newfoundland has not received any official word from Hockey Canada on the appeal by the East Coast Hockey League.

The Central West Senior Hockey League has a meeting planned for this weekend. Sources say its very doubtful the league will function this winter. 

The West Coast senior Hockey League has not revealed its plans but sources also indicate that league may not function this winter.
