GROWLERS GET SPLIT WITH MAINE

S A T U R D A Y

The Growlers get a split of their weekend series against Maine Saturday. They scored a single goal in the first added two in the second and third periods for a 5-2 win.

Aaron Luchuk, Colt Conrad, Joseph Duszak, Evan Nugold and Roley Woods shared in the scoring.

Maskim Zhukov was in goal for the win.

Next up Reading Royals Thursday night.

F R I D A Y

The Newfoundland Growlers lost 5-2 to Main Mariners as they started their first road trip of the ECHL season Friday night. Scott Pooley and Riley Woods had the goals for the Growlers. 

The Growlers had grabbed a 2-0 lead with just one minute and 12 seconds played in the contest but saw that lead blown in the contest as Maine scored five unanswered goals. Maksim Zhukov was in goal for the loss making 21 saves over the 60 minutes. 

The Growlers and Mariners go at it again Saturday night.
