SATURDAY JUNIOR HOCKEY WRAP

S U N D A Y

The two St. John’s Junior Hockey League games scheduled for Sunday between Mount Pearl and Trinity Placentia and Southern Shore and Northeast have been postponed and will be re scheduled.

S A T U R D A Y

There were three St. John’s Junior Hockey League games played Saturday night.

Evan Gallant scored five goals and Avalon Capitals defeated Northeast Eagles 9-3. Regan Seymour had a goal and four assists and Grant Lane, Cole Winsor and Colin McKinnon had singles as well.

Max French scored twice for Northeast and Bradley Howell and Edward Farrell had the other goals.

Kyle McGrath continued his scoring in the junior league with a hat trick Saturday night leading St. John’s Caps past Paradise Warriors 6-4. Matthew Mills, Michael Williams and Kyle Lind had singles.

Matthew Marshall, Nathan Withers, Max Tavenor and Andrew Harfield replied for the Warriors.

C-B-N Stars edged C-B-R Renegades 3-2 . Luke Akerman scored twice including the winner in overtime  and Cameron Simms added a single. Lucas Osmond and Aaron Peach had the goals for CBR
