The summer sports scene in Newfoundland and Labrador is winding down and now thought turn to winter sports and in Newfoundland for many that means hockey .  There is a strong possibility that senior hockey will not be played in Newfoundland this winter. The COVID rules put in place have many players opting out of competitive hockey and vowing to play in a Recreation League.   Jacob Dyer  Feildians The Johnson Insurance Challenge Trophy player of the month for September is Jacob Dyer of Feildians.
